NCC 2022 adoption dates and Victorian variations
The details of the Victorian Government’s adoption dates and the variations it intends to make to the NCC 2022 are outlined in this resource. The adoption of NCC 2022 in Victoria will be as follows:
- From 1 May 2023, it will adopt all provisions except for energy efficiency, condensation mitigation and liveable (accessible) housing.
- From 1 October 2023, it will adopt all provisions including energy efficiency, condensation mitigation and liveable (accessible) housing.
The resource provides an extensive overview of Victorian NCC 2022 variations to energy efficiency requirements in NCC 2019 – Building Code of Australia Volume Two and bushfire requirements in Building Code of Australia Volume One.
It also provides links to additional information that can be found on the Australian Building Codes Board (ABCB) and Victorian Building Authority (VBA) websites.
